Free trading personality quiz & printable trading checklist
Trading personality quiz
Your habits.
Your rules.
Your trading code.
Understand how you make decisions. Turn your answers into personal trading commandments and a reminder you can put on your desk.
Answers stay in this page unless you choose to save them on this device. An email subscription unlocks your results and printables.
A trading psychology quiz you can put to work.
Your trading personality is more useful as a starting point for reflection than a label. This free assessment asks about preparation, patience, loss response, rule consistency, decision clarity, and review habits. Your answers help you choose a practical focus and create your own trading code.
For example, if you report chasing missed moves, your suggested commandment may be: “I check my written setup instead of chasing a move I missed.” You can rewrite every rule and choose the three reminders you want to see on your desk.
What you take away
- An answer-backed profile with six habit dimensions.
- Six editable trading commandments and a session checklist.
- A compact desk card to print or save as PDF.
- A four-week plan focused on practice and review.

Is the trading personality test free?
Yes. Taking the quiz is free. Enter your email and subscribe to WTE trading tips, product updates, and offers to unlock your results and printables. No paid account is required, and you can unsubscribe from emails at any time.
What happens to my email and quiz answers?
Your email, quiz signup source, and subscription consent date/version are saved in Resend for WTE marketing. Your quiz answers, profile, and edited commandments are not sent. An access cookie remembers your unlock in this browser for 30 days. Existing email unsubscribe preferences are preserved.
Can a beginner take the quiz?
Yes. Choose practice scenarios at the start and answer how you would respond. Those results are clearly labeled as scenario-based rather than evidence of actual trading habits. Skip situations you cannot assess.
How are the results calculated?
Each answer contributes 0–3 consistency points. Questions about counterproductive habits are scored in reverse. A dimension needs at least two of its three questions answered. The default focus is the lowest scored dimension, or you can choose your own. These editorial rules have not been psychologically validated.
How do I print my checklist or save a PDF?
After editing your code, choose “Print pack / save PDF”. Select your printer or the browser’s Save as PDF destination. Use A4 or Letter at 100% scale with headers and footers off. The desk card has a cut border; long custom wording may make it taller.
Are my results saved automatically?
No. Answers and edits remain in the page until you explicitly save on this device or download them. Reloading without saving loses progress. Device saving uses this browser’s storage, so anyone using the same browser profile may be able to load it. You can remove the saved copy from the results page.
Does my profile predict whether I will succeed?
No. This is an educational self-reflection tool, not a clinical assessment, financial suitability test, or prediction of profitability. It does not select instruments, leverage, or a trading strategy for you. Use your own written plan and actual journal evidence to review your process.
